Mary Beth Fitzgerald

I would like to welcome you to Wyandotte Elementary, an Indiana Department of Education Four Star School. Wyandotte Elementary is committed to making your child's school experience positive, safe, and successful. Our staff is dedicated to helping each child reach his or her fullest potential. Wyandotte Elementary provides students with a creative and enriched learning environment. The curriculum reflects a commitment not only to educating children, but also to their total welfare and success in life.

Wyandotte Elementary celebrates its rich and diverse student population. We have 500 students in grades K-5. In addition to their daily curriculum, students receive art, music, physical education, media (library), and computer lab each week. We offer a Highly Able 2/3 and a 4/5 multiage classrooms. Our school also utilizes an inclusion setting for students with special needs. Teachers incorporate many wonderful enrichment and reinforcement activities into their daily instruction to help students learn and master academic skills. Wyandotte Elementary students, parents, and staff participate in Family Reading, Writing, Zumba and STEM Nights, a book parade every other year, K-5 Field day, Movie Nights. Scholastic Book Fairs, Grandparents Day for kdg. and 1st grades, Hawk 5k Run/Walk and Fun Fair and many more wonderful learning opportunities.

Wyandotte Elementary is fortunate to have a strong parental support. Parents and grandparents are invited to assist with school activities. Without parental support, many wonderful activities or field trips could not take place. Each year we have a "Back to School Bash", that allows students and parents to drop off their school supplies before the first day of school. We also have a "Parent Information Night" for parents to meet their child's teacher and hear classroom expectations and procedures. Parents are also encouraged to participate in their child's parent-teacher conferences at Wyandotte Elementary. These conferences are held at the end of October and February. They are two of the most important meetings that parents can attend. The conferences give teachers and parents an opportunity to discuss a child’s academic and social progress at school and allows the teacher to offer suggestions for improvement or enrichment. Working together is a key to a child's success in school!

Again, welcome to Wyandotte Elementary School. My staff and I look forward to working with you and your child.
