TSC joins soldier holiday card campaign
Sue Scott

American Legion Post 492 in West Lafayette is inviting all TSC elementary students to participate in its “Letters from Home” campaign. Students are encouraged to create Christmas letters and cards or thank you letters to send to soldiers deployed overseas.

Post 492 member Donna Smith says students can write a letter on paper or create a card from construction paper. “This is the second year we have organized the campaign,” says Smith. “We want our servicemen and women to know their country appreciates all they do. Our goal is to send 15,000 cards.”

The photos below are from Woodland Elementary School where students have a head start on making the holiday messages.

Students can make as many cards as they wish and bring them to school Monday, November 30.
